Managing Partner

Corey founded the practice in 2009 to give individuals and small businesses thoughtful, practical counsel. The work spans estate planning, probate and administration, business law, civil litigation and real estate.

Before founding the practice, Corey was a corporate and finance associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP (formerly McKee Nelson LLP), representing issuers and underwriters in structured finance transactions. Corey also developed Secured Estate, a platform for building an estate plan, tracking assets and sharing confidential information with designated contacts.

Corey created BarristerIQ, legal practice management software that also supports the firm's own intake, documents and client portal.

Jennifer Washington, Esq.

Attorney

Jennifer has practiced with the firm since 2012, handling estate planning, real estate, employment and civil litigation matters. The work includes preparing wills, testamentary trusts and other estate planning documents, and drafting Surrogate's Court petitions, including petitions for letters testamentary, compulsory accountings and removal of executors.

Jennifer's public interest background includes serving as a fellow with Legal Services NYC's bankruptcy assistance project and as student director of the University of Minnesota Law School Tax Clinic, representing low-income clients in IRS and state tax controversies. Jennifer has also taught Legal Environment of Business as an adjunct professor at Morehouse College.
